PAYE & settlement

Whilst PAYE Settlement Agreements (PSA) represent a useful tool to employers in settling tax and NIC liabilities on items which would otherwise be charged to employees, they can also represent significant costs to your business.

Drawn from our experience of reviewing and preparing PSA applications and computations, we note that many businesses (if not the majority) often include items which could be excluded from the settlement figure through the myriad of less known HMRC concessions, working practices and guidance outlined in their tax manuals.

With the necessity for items included in PSA computations to be settled on a "grossed up" basis, tax and NIC payments of up to 80% or more of the value of the original benefit are often incurred.

Our advice can include outsourced management of the entire process through to retrospective reviews of prior submissions and new computations. Our fee structure can be designed to reflect a percentage of any savings identified so no unnecessary expense arises to your business.
